Finding Out We Were Going to Be Parents

Chaytin and I found out we were going to be parents in early November, so I was around 2 months. The pregnancy came as a total shock to us because we were not trying...but then again we were not doing anything to prevent it haha! Our mindset was if God wants us to have a baby, it will happen and if not then that is okay!

I had not been feeling like myself for about a month, the first two weeks I just brushed it off and I thought I just had a stomach bug. The next couple of weeks, my stomach began to feel soooo sore like I had done so many crunches but I definitely didn't so I knew that was not the case. I was also spotting so that along with the horrible cramps, I thought maybe it was that time of the month. Chaytin took me on a date to a restaurant on the beach one night and I couldn't even finish my macaroni (if you know me that is my favorite food ever and would never turn down a bowl of macaroni). We told my mother in law that I hadn't been feeling

too good and my stomach was so sore and she jokingly said "Maybe you're pregnant." Chaytin and I were like no way and kinda just laughed it off but then we thought "what if?"

The next day, November 11th, I went to the BX and bought a pregnancy test. I remember calling Chaytin and asking which one I should get, and then just ended up grabbing the first one I saw because I still thought there was no way and it wouldn't matter either way which one. On the way home I was so excited, but tried to not show it to Chaytin because I didn't want to get either of our hopes up. I got home, said hi to C and went straight to the bathroom. I left the first stick on the counter, turned it over, went to the bedroom and waited. It felt like an eternity waiting, and then my timer went off!! I ran to the bathroom waited a couple more minutes, trying to calm down and tell myself not to get that excited. I turned the test over and it was positive. I still could not believe it. I went back to the bedroom, and told Chaytin not to get too excited and showed him the test. Let me tell you, I hadn't seen Chayt so excited about something in a long time. I had a couple more tests and knew if those came back positive, we were going to be parents. I chugged some water, took the last two tests, and waited again. When I went back to check them, they were obviously positive and I took them to Chaytin to show him. He had the biggest smile on his face. We talked about being parents and how excited we were, and how much our baby was going to be loved. Neither of us can hold stuff like that in, we wanted to wait until we went to Texas in December to tell our parents, but we ended up telling them that night.

We are so excited and ready to be parents, it couldn't come sooner! We love you Baby K.
